"Something Cosmic"

I keep saying something cosmic is going on in the air
Like the Sun and Moon performed an incantation,
causing a "mental eclipse" within my
galatic atmosphere
Making me sit in darkness while I REevaluate the light
and wait for the truth to appear
No choice do I have, but just face the mirror
Even if the reflection is not clear...
I'm still there.
Focusing on a image
that seems to be as deep as an astral hemisphere
In there some where is me
And I soon as I find me, I'll shed me and Re appear
(In style)

    Girl, I like this.
It's deep; I tell you it's something in this air that we breath!
I have experienced this “Metal Eclipse”, and I must say:
Through this galactic atmosphere, good things have come my way.

I’ve sat in my “Mental Darkroom” trying to find some light, but I didn’t find an image or a mirror in sight.

I realized there was a higher power; One that would defeat me!
I realized there was no light in the tunnel, but God was guiding me.

I didn’t need a flashlight, or a reflection to see what I need.
    I knew I needed a re-evaluate; "ME."

So Girl, take your time with defining the NEW you, but also know that you don’t need a mirror because God is guiding you.

Hot to death. Poignant. My favorite line is:

"In there some where is me
And I soon as I find me, I'll shed me and Re appear"

    So true.

The best part as far as I am concerned...:)

Seeking the real is the ultimate goal. I don't read much poetry, but I was watching the biopic of Sylvia Plath. And "Sylvia" said something that spoke to me "The truth always comes to me. The truth loves me." That's what this poem has made me think about.

Very evocative. You just reminded me of how much I love Lauryn's X Factor. I had that song on repeat like a mug.

You know, if you wear a foil helmet it solves all your cosmic, moonbeam kind of problems. Life is serene beneath the alloy cap.
